Patrick Norguet

French designer Patrick Norguet believes in products that are pertinent, meaningful, and communicative. Since founding his firm in 2000, he has adapted a multi-disciplinary approach to his profession, creating furniture for brands such as Cassina, Cappellini, Janus and Artifort; lighting for Artemide, textiles and tile; a watch for Hermès; and concept cars for Peugeot. At the heart of his practice is an in-depth analysis of the DNA of his clients. Each of his designs offers something innovative, while remaining true to their style and heritage. He avows a passion for product development and technological advances and has created a signature style characterized by pure lines, clean forms, and meticulous details. His aim is to reduce each to their essence, resulting in objects that are succinct and self-evident.

An icon of contemporary design, his multi-coloured Rainbow Chair is part of the permanent collection of New York’s Museum of Modern Art. Other creations have been acquired by the Mobilier National in Paris, and he is the recipient of numerous prizes, including several Red Dot, Wallpaper Design and GQ Man of the Year awards.

Philippe Starck

Philippe Starck, world famous creator with multifaceted inventiveness, is always focused on the essential, his vision: that creation, whatever form it takes, must improve the lives of as many people as possible. This philosophy has made him one of the pioneers and central figures of the concept of “democratic design.”

By employing his prolific work across all domains, from everyday products (furniture, a citrus squeezer, electric bikes, an individual wind turbine), to architecture (hotels, restaurants that aspire to be stimulating places) and naval and spatial engineering (mega yachts, habitation module for private space tourism), he continually pushes the boundaries and requirements of design, becoming one of the most visionary and renowned creators of the international contemporary scene.
