Renowned architect, designer and art director Piero Lissoni is one of the most revered icons in the realm of contemporary Italian furniture. His signature minimalist style—clearly rooted in purism; however, defined by a sophisticated human component—can be found in the most esteemed public and private spaces worldwide.
In 1986, Lissoni and Nicoletta Canesi founded the interdisciplinary design and architecture studio Lissoni Associati in Milan. Lissoni and his multinational team thus comprehensively cover the areas of architecture, interior and product design, art direction, corporate identity and graphics. Projects extend globally to include private villas, residential buildings, offices, factories, theatres, restaurants and hotels, yachts, retail stores, showrooms, exhibitions, furniture and lighting design.
His architecture and design work is recognized worldwide and has earned him a series of international awards, including the Good Design Award, the Red Dot Award and the Compasso d’Oro ADI. Piero Lissoni is guest lecturer and member of the Advisory Board at the Politecnico di Milano. Recently completed architectural projects include a boutique hotel on the shores of Orta Lake, the Roomers Hotel Baden-Baden with its 130 rooms and spa in Germany (2016), the Conservatorium Hotel in Amsterdam (2012), the Mamilla Hotel in Jerusalem (2009), the renovation of the historic Teatro Nazionale in Milan (2009), the headquarters and production facilities of Kerakoll Design Lab (2014), Matteograssi (2011), Glas Italia (2010) and Living Divani (2007) in Italy.
