JANUS et Cie currently has an opening for a Warehouse Receiving Lead. The
position is responsible for leading and directing warehouse receiving department members. Under the direction of the Receiving Supervisor, the Warehouse Receiving Lead is tasked with ensuring the efficient and economical utilization of labor, equipment and assets.
The Receiving Lead plays a vital role in the professional development of his/her team in order to achieve departmental and organizational goals. Specific duties and responsibilities include:
• Lead and develop a team of 5-10 individual into a highly skilled and focused workforce
• Ensure all inbound product is inspected for accuracy and quality
• Ability to maneuver workforce as needed to complete daily assignments
• Assign duties and examine work for accuracy, neatness and completeness according to policies and procedures
• Complete, compile and gather shift reports, team sheets and daily requisitions for efficient workforce planning
• Help develop and implement new procedures to alleviate or eliminate production or product issues
• Communicate with Receiving Supervisor regarding any product or personnel issues
• Other duties as needed
The ideal candidate will have the following combination of education, experience and skills:
• High school diploma or GED
• 3+ years of Lead or Supervisory experience; furniture industry experience is a plus!
• Knowledge of OSHA regulatory compliance handling hazardous/flammable materials
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Bilingual English/Spanish
• Ability to work a 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. schedule with required overtime as needed
• Ability to lift 60 lbs.
• Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment
• Proficiency on the Microsoft Suite of programs (Office, Word, Excel)
