Quality Assurance Specialist

Monitor quality control and assurance of JANUS et Cie production in Indonesia[AW1]  through vendor orientation, audits/inspection, and resolution in collaboration with respective departments while promoting and supporting on-time delivery of quality products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and document vendor’s quality control & assurance process/program in relation to JANUS et Cie production.
• Train and orient vendor’s key personnel on JANUS et Cie Product Requirements and Quality Standards.
• Perform random quality audits with factories to ensure conformance with JANUS et Cie Product Requirements and Quality Standards.
• Report potential problems/risks/threats to management that may affect JANUS et Cie’s production and quality assurance.
• Perform critical inspection audits, especially on First Production run and custom projects particularly, but not limited to the below:
• Material Preparation, Milling, Assembly, Powder Coating, Weaving, Upholstery, Final Fitting, Packaging
• Develop and update Quality Reports communicated to the vendors and respective JANUS et Cie team: Product Development (PD), Engineering (Eng), and Product Management (PM).
• Monitor, update, resolve, and validate quality issues raised by Product Management from customer complaints and/or warranty in collaboration with Engineering and respective vendor.
• Assist in orientation, training, and guiding vendors in performing related in-house product performance test along with Engineering.
• Assist in developing and/or verifying packaging plan for all new items with PD, PD[AW2]  and respective vendors.
• Coordinate closely with Warehouse, Product Management, and Engineering in getting feedback for First Production Shipment and required improvements.
• Assist in Factory Technical Evaluation.
• Promote and support on-time delivery performance among vendors by ensuring specs are clear and well understood by vendors, timely highlighting of potential quality problems and observing required schedule for production.
• Perform related functions in support of Quality Assurance and Production Management.

Qualification Requirements:

• Any 4-year Bachelor of Science and/or Engineering degree preferred.
• At least 3 years’ experience in Quality Control and Assurance function; furniture experience is preferred in multicultural environment.
• Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written; ability to relate to all levels of management from top to bottom and bottom to top across different cultures.
• Knowledge in Bahasa and Mandarin is advantageous but not essentially required.
• High attention to details.
• Strong analytical skills and self starting.
• Above average computer skills.
• Business Acumen – Understand the complexity of business on a global scale. Embrace cultural and individual differences with empathy. Work with the nuances of specific local cultures to make informed decisions.
• Willing to travel to Asian countries of production that include but are not limited to China and Vietnam.
