The Key Account Manager will actively be involved in developing the markets across the region. This includes servicing existing clients, developing new sales leads, managing closing of contracts, standards programs, and managing hospitality, contract, residential and design oriented sales accounts throughout Japan.

We are seeking a highly successful, sales-oriented person with a thorough understanding of the high-end hospitality/contract furniture industry and its purchasing process (residential sales experience a plus). The person would ideally have worked in a similar position in the region and thereby obtained full knowledge of the key decision makers, influencers, as well as a strong, high-level network (architects/ interior designers/ hospitality operators and owners) in the high-end furniture industry in Japan.

The candidate will need to be a motivated and self-starter with a hunter mentality, while maintaining a polished image that is in line with the company’s mission and values.

• For consideration, you must have 3 years of proven success in a similar position in the region, ideally with high-end hospitality or residential sales. Furniture Industry knowledge is a plus.
• Great business acumen and ability to develop relationships at all organizational levels.
• Experience and a sensibility to work effectively within a multicultural environment.
• Excellent writing and presentation skills.
• High-level proficiency with computers and new technology.
• Medium to extensive travel activity required.
• B.A. degree or higher preferred.
• Excellent English and fluency in Japanese required. Additional language skills, relevant to the region are a plus.
