Count on Italian architect and designer Paola Navone, who joined the impressive roster of guest designers with JANUS et Cie in 2013, to bring Italian ease to the table. Two collections, Strada and Dolce Vita, each with distinct looks, can live on their own or play together, allowing for clients of residential and hospitality realms to easily create a cohesive look with one collection, or, like Navone, have some fun mixing things up.
Dolce Vita reinvents classic plank wood furniture with updated, sleek silhouettes and improved durability, using JANUSwood, a sustainable, synthetic material. Strada, on the other hand, embraces rounded corners and a woven body made from JANUSfiber. Each collection represents a sort of yin and yang of design: straight lines versus curved; hard surfaces versus soft, and classic versus modern.
Thanks to Paola Navone’s expert eye, the two collections that seem wildly different in fact work wonderfully together.
