JANUS et Cie was thrilled to showcase new products at BDNY 2019 in one of the tradeshow’s most engaging years yet. Held Nov. 10-11 at New York’s Jacob Javits Convention Center, BDNY highlights the hospitality industry’s most innovative and style-driven designs. The conference celebrated its 10th anniversary this year with more than 100 keynote speakers, discussing everything from cutting-edge ideas for guestroom designs to restaurant lighting that flatters people and food.

More topics of interest centered on creating engaging senior living spaces as well as bringing the luxury of the interior to the exterior, transforming outdoor lounge spaces. At the JANUS et Cie booth, the Alta seating series, designed exclusively for senior living, was highlighted on display platforms. Alta was introduced this year as a new size designation with subtle iterations that make it expertly suited for senior living design—and meet all necessary requirements: slightly wider seat, slightly shorter seat depth, and increased overall height. JANUS et Cie’s BDNY team spoke with attendees about the importance of designing thoughtful, sophisticated senior living spaces, and the opportunities for creating communities that are just as beautiful as they are livable.
