Michael Vanderbyl is renowned as a designer, educator, and advocate for the arts. Since its establishment in 1973, Vanderbyl Design has evolved into a multidisciplinary practice with expertise in graphics, packaging, signage, interiors and furniture. The San Francisco-based firm’s extensive client list includes The Blackstone Group, The Walt Disney Company, Esprit, HBF, IBM, LXR, The Mina Group, Rudd Vineyards & Winery, and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Vanderbyl received the 2014 Titan Award and a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2006 from the International Interior Design Association and was inducted into Interior Design’s Hall of Fame in 2012. He also serves as Dean of Design at the California College of the Arts. Michael Vanderbyl designed Azimuth Linear and Cross collections as well as the See! collection exclusively for JANUS et Cie.
